Multi-Monitor Environments and the DameWare Mini Remote Control

The information in this article applies to:

Version 5 and above of the DameWare Mini Remote Control (DMRC) program contains
support for multiple monitor environments via the new Monitor menu or the Multi-Monitor toolbar. When connecting to a remote machine that
has more than one monitor installed, the DMRC program will dynamically detect
this configuration and automatically display the Multi-Monitor toolbar and the
Monitor menu. These features allow the user to select each monitor
attached to a remote machine
individually, which will then be displayed over the DMRC connection. The DameWare
Mini Remote Control program's unique Multi-Monitor implementation allows the user to
view the entire Virtual Desktop.
Versions of the DMRC program prior to 5.x do not support
multiple monitors on the local or remote machines making the only screen visible the Primary Display. Some Video Cards can be configured to display multiple monitors as "one big desktop,"
which is not the same as extending the Primary desktop onto the secondary
monitor.
